About Treehouse Meditations

A unique vision for genuine comfort cards

Treehouse Meditations, established in 2020, is a family affair. I (Patty) am the idea person, my son is the photographer and my brother is the artist who paints the wall crosses and Matthew 4:19 fish.

I have always sent greeting cards to people who suffer troubles of any kind, as a means of offering encouragement, comfort, and hope. Over the years, I had a hard time finding unique and diverse cards that expressed the specific sentiment that I was looking for. I looked for cards that acknowledged the pains of everyday life, and that included words of scripture that would help lead to healing through faith in Jesus. I spent years thinking and praying about this, but fell short when it came to a vision of clarity.

That changed when my son started filming programs for television channels that took him to remote places in the countryside and wilderness. His photography inspired me to use his works to tie the photograph, the scripture and my words together for the final product that conveys my intended purpose. My cards are “real” and come right to the point without sugar coating how tough life can be.

A heart for children in Latin America

Medical Aid for Children of Latin America (MACLA) treats patients with physical deformities such as cleft lips and palates, burn scar contractures, and hand and soft tissue deformities. Treating children first is their priority, but many adults have also been treated. This nonprofit organization was founded by Patty’s brother Dr. Tom Geraghty in 1985. Since then, more than 3,000 physicians, nurses and ancillary volunteers have given their time, talents and financial support to underprivileged patients in the Dominican Republic, Bolivia and other third-world countries.

A portion of every sale by Treehouse Meditations is donated to MACLA.
